PAST EVENTS

the breakfast club

Over the months, we have hosted a number of events, all with a fantastic turnout, highly inspirational speakers, and last but not least some tasty food and drink! Here’s a rundown of some of our past events:

22ND FEBRUARY 2023

Another Breakfast Club means another stellar speaker! February saw the introduction of Andy Wilkinson, the Chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in Birmingham, as well as the Joint Founder & Partner of OWB Creative. With an impressive repertoire of senior marketing and directing experience, we were on the very edge of our seats for his keynote speech. His talk on ‘Driving Forward in Changing Times’ was an astute thinkpiece on what every entrepreneur can do to move their business into the future.

25TH JANUARY 2023

The beginning of a new year is always a time of excitement and anticipation. And this year, the Breakfast Club started off with a bang! We were lucky enough to have Kate Wass, the Business Development Director of Premium Sales, as our keynote speaker. Kate is a true prodigy in the world of business development and recruitment, and her talk on ‘Top Tips to Supercharge Your Sales in 2023’ was nothing short of inspiring. She shared with us her insights and experience in boosting sales and business growth, and we all left feeling empowered to take our businesses to the next level.

30TH NOVEMBER 2022

With no Breakfast Club in December (let’s take a break to enjoy the holidays!), November was the last Breakfast Club of 2022! We were excited to welcome Raj Kandola as November’s very important guest. As the Head of Policy & Strategic Relationships for the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, it was incredibly insightful to hear his talk on ‘How Businesses Should Plan for 2023’ and how entrepreneurs should be prepared for a new chapter in the upcoming year. We came out of the cinema room feeling refreshed and excited to start 2023 right!

28TH SEPTEMBER 2022

We were joined by none other than Ian Harrison, Director of Growhouse GB, and we have a deep respect for his work in supporting businesses. While we indulged in coffee and pastries, he gave us an insightful talk on how to encourage workplace leadership and how to grow healthy company culture. It was a great reminder that it’s ultimately the people that can make or break a business’s success — and by working on individual growth, it will often lead to overall business growth!

27TH JULY 2022

What a great way to start the day! Simon Caulton, founder of Ones and award-winning advocate of men’s mental health, jumpstarted our morning with a talk on “The ‘Why’ Behind Your Brand.” He took us on a moving journey through the personal battles of his family after his daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. This then inspired the brilliant breakthrough of Ones, his highly-acclaimed leisure trainer brand. He stressed the importance of a strong motivation behind your brand and the best way to articulate this when pitching your business.

There were a lot of crucial marketing secrets spilt and we can’t wait to see how the many entrepreneurs who attended make use of them to accelerate their brand.
